This summer DesignTech has welcomed three engineering interns to the team!
In the Leesburg, VA office, Corin Smith has contributed to the mechanical and plumbing design of several tenant interiors projects, working with Revit and AutoCAD or doing load calculations. Corin will return to Purdue University this fall to begin her sophomore year.
In the Kensington, MD office, Andrew Hamby and Kevin McShea have been supporting the electrical and mechanical teams respectively. Andrew has contributed to electrical design of fire alarm systems, power distribution, and lighting for both telecommunications and tenant interiors projects; utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for development of construction documents. Kevin has been assisting in completing mechanical site survey of existing conditions, cooling load calculations, AutoCAD drafting mark-ups, and product specification. In the fall, Andrew will return to Grove City College and Kevin will return to University of Maryland; both entering their senior year.
