Studio Center

Studio Center provides audio/video production and editing consulting at an award winning level. DesignTech worked in collaboration with The Bernstein Companies and architect Edward Pawlowski to complete this interior fit-out an office that fosters and enhances creativity. DesignTech coordinated strict acoustical needs of each editing room with variable cooling demand in the studio, and low DC ceiling heights to create this gem in the heart of Georgetown.

This 5,000 square foot shell space was fit-out with a virtual studio, multiple edit and recording suites, and an open plan reception/kitchen space.

Mechanical design included acoustically sensitive air distribution, significant base-building condenser water piping re-location to allow for additional height in the virtual studio as well as a dedicated ductless split system air conditioner for the IT/electrical closet.

Electrical design included new high efficiency lighting as well as power distribution to the edit and studio production equipment. 

Plumbing design was provided for the kitchen fixtures including a domestic hot water heater.
