Mellow Mushroom Rockville
In collaboration with Architecture, Incorporated, DesignTech prepared mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services for the nearly 6,000 square foot Mellow Mushroom restaurant in Rockville Town Center. The tenant space combined the former Oro Pomodoro restaurant and the adjacent antique shop into one grand indoor/outdoor dining space. In addition to outdoor seating, the bar storefront is able to open to the outside during mild weather. Like all Mellow Mushroom restaurants, the interior design is completely unique and full of character.
DesignTech's mechanical services for this full service restaurant included design for new split system air conditioning units, as well as Type I and Type II exhaust systems for grease and dishwasher hoods. Design also included space separation via an air curtain for days where the bar storefront is open to the outdoors.
Electrical services included new lighting and power connections to kitchen and mechanical equipment.
Plumbing services included new toilet rooms and connections to kitchen equipment. Plumbing design also included a new water heater, and connections to existing grease and sanitary drains.
Construction administration services included shop drawing review, response to contractor requests for information (RFI), and a final MEP punch.
